New Issue: Proceedings of the Pondicherry Lodge — Volume 14, Issue 1 (Summer 2026)

The Sherlock Holmes Society of India is pleased to present the latest issue of our biannual e-magazine, Proceedings of the Pondicherry Lodge. The new volume brings together a varied collection of Holmesian writing, including scholarship, reflections, fiction, and Society news.

This issue continues the tradition of Proceedings of the Pondicherry Lodge as the Society’s e-magazine, published twice a year and shared freely for download and distribution. As always, the issue reflects the broad range of interests that animate Sherlockians in India and beyond.

Inside this issue, readers will find articles including:

  • Sherlock Holmes Day in Hungary.
  • Introducing the real-life sister of Sherlock (and Mycroft) Holmes.
  • Nancy Barclay, nee Devoy.
  • The Body Guard Case.
  • A Study in AI – An Experiment.

A special highlight of this volume is The Idol of the Broken Lotus, a Sherlock Holmes adventure set in Varanasi in 1892, which closes the issue with a post-Reichenbach tale of disguise, devotion, and deduction - and, most interestingly, written by an unexpected author.

We hope you enjoy reading this new issue as much as we enjoyed bringing it together. The magazine is available now for readers, members, and fellow Sherlockians to enjoy and share.
